We had already fabricated a target, which was ready and waiting out behind the house. Being new to the sport of throwing, it will take some time to become proficient, but the instant gratification of a good "stick" has got me hooked. My sons are interested as well, so I see more throwing knives in our future! I am very impressed with the quality of this product. Just received my new #4 Battle Blade, and proceeded to learn how to throw it. We had already fabricated a target, which was ready and waiting out behind the house. I also purchased the "Defender" from a magician friend which had been designed originally for Mr. McEvoy's son. Both are great knives and still a fantastic pieces 20 years later.
